Sumera Khan, MD
Dr. Khan is Board Certified in Nephrology and Board Certified in Internal Medicine.
Dr. Khan enjoys all areas of nephrology care including, chronic and acute kidney diseases, hypertension, electrolyte disorders, and all renal replacement therapy options. Her mission is to offer thoughtful and personalized guidance to patients and their loved ones through effective listening and communication. Dr. Khan is strong advocate for patient education and empowerment, so patients understand their clinical condition and are confident they are making informed decisions that optimize their wellbeing.
Dr. Khan is also very passionate about Home Modality for Dialysis.
Advocating for keeping patients at home, involved in their care, and increasing care access, Dr. Khan offers Remote Patient Monitoring for the management of patients with difficult to control hypertension saving patients additional trips to the doctor office and preventing hospitalizations.
Dr. Khan completed her Nephrology training at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA after finishing Internal Medicine Residency also at Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia, PA, and medical school at Osmania Medical College in Hyderabad, India.
In her free time, Dr. Khan enjoys cooking, reading, watching movies, traveling, and spending time with her family.
