Tamim Ghith, MD

Dr. Ghith is Board Certified in Nephrology and Board Certified in Internal Medicine. Dr. Ghith also is a certified hypertensive specialist. Dr. Ghith also is a certified hypertensive specialist.

Dr. Ghith enjoys all aspects of nephrology care but takes a special interest in hypertensive and diabetic kidney disease in addition to electrolytes abnormalities management. He believes that kidney disease progression can be slowed down or halted through focused education and treatment, open communication with his patients and their families along with lifestyle changes. He helps people with kidney disease focus on understanding the complexity of this disease and its effect on other organs of the body.

Dr. Ghith completed his Nephrology training at the New York Hospital of Queens, Flushing, NY after finishing Internal Medicine Residencies at Weill Medical College of Cornell University in Bronx, NY, and medical school at Damascus University in Syria.

Also, Dr. Ghith is currently faculty at the department of medicine at Florida State University and was an Assistant Professor of Medicine at Texas Tech University, Odessa, TX.

In his free time, he enjoys playing tennis, pickleball, racquetball, traveling, watching soccer and tennis, and spending time with his family and his cute little dog Chocolate.
